EAGLES

I want the old desean back. He needs to go off tonight. Trash talking. Swagging out. Catch seven touchdowns. Chest bump Andy after every one. 25 other catches. All for first downs in which he can do the first down gesture and then spin the ball on the ground like everyone in the nfl seems to do this season. I miss that guy. Go Eagles!!

Phillies!

In honor of the beginning of the baseball postseason I want momentarily bring back Phillies Beards Blog and give a NLDS preview. The matchup will be the the Phillies vs. the Cardinals and the steriod junkie Albert Pojuls (I have no proof of his actual use of steriods). Game 1 will be a pitchers duel between Roy Halladay and the Cardinals ace Kyle Lohse. Wait, did I say ace? I mean 14 game winner with a 3.39 Era. The phillies have three pitchers with lower than 3.00 Era with 14 wins or more. My prediction: no contest. P...H...I...L...L...I...E...S....PHILLIES.

this article is about trash talking

http://www.mcall.com/sports/mc-philadelphia-eagles-0924-20110924,0,2896182.story

"On the offensive side, quarterback Michael Vick took it a step further, responding to talk from Giants camp all week that the defense will be coming after him with an invitation to bring it on.

"I mean, I'm a lot better this year than I was last year, I feel like, in what we do as an offense," Vick said. "So I think them blitzing us is going to be a good thing.

"... they want me out of the game because they don't want me in the game. I mean, having to deal with me for 60 minutes, I understand the magnitude of that. So it's fun, it's a game and that's why I'm here. And I play the way I play for a reason and we're going to have fun. I look forward to the challenge, competitively, and we're excited about it over here. I know they've been doing a lot of talking, but they're the New York Football Giants."

At least he didn't say "New York Football Midgets.""

Baseball Legally America's Pastime

Is it still baseball season?
Reading for school today, learned baseball is legally considered a "Pastime"as opposed to an "industry" to be exempt from following certain laws. It was a Supreme Court decision. Baller.
